Our steel board posts and gates are crafted from low carbon steel, equivalent to ASTM 1020 Steel (which is known for its flexibility and bendability). This makes it less likely to break under force, unlike higher-strength, more brittle steels.
The steel measures 17 gauge for rails and 16 gauge for posts. This design allows the rails to handle up to 1,200 lbs vertically and 400 lbs horizontally (with 4” of flex for safety). We also offer a Z-bar reinforcement option that increases horizontal strength to 700 lbs. Our posts can withstand a force of 1,200 lbs horizontally.
The Safest Option For Horses
Absolutely! Our steel fence is engineered with the safety of horses in mind. Our unique bend, buckle, and release technology ensures that each board can safely flex under pressure. For instance, at 400 pounds of pressure, the boards will bow but then snap back to their original shape, reducing the risk of injury. In the unlikely event of a full stampede, the boards will bend and break away, protecting the horse from harm.
The fence also boasts high visibility, smooth rounded edges, and is free from potential hazards like shards, barbs, or screws. This makes it the trusted choice of top riders, schools, and parks.

Shipping
We prioritize both protection and sustainability in our shipping methods. All fence components are shipped in sturdy crates with metal ends, which are specially designed to protect the components during transit and reduce environmental impact. We’ll even arrange and cover the costs to return the crates to us for re-use.
A full rail crate weighs less than 1700 pounds and measures 115 inches long, 29 inches wide, and 29 inches high. Due to the weight and size, we recommend using equipment with forks for unloading.

Our fence comes with a solid warranty that promises peace of mind. We guarantee that the fence will remain free from defects in materials and workmanship. Additionally, the electro-statically applied paint finish is promised not to crack, chip, or peel for as long as the original purchaser owns the fence, or for up to 15 years—whichever comes first.
What Gates Do You Offer?
Our gates come in three dierent sizes: 4 ft, 8 ft 4 5⁄8 in, and 12 ft. The gates can be installed as singles or doubles and are sold
separately. They can be installed with Buckley Fence, or almost any other fence. Available in texture black and gloss white, and
3-rail and 4-rail.

Is The Fence Eco-friendly?
Our architectural-grade powder-coat is applied with no emissions, unlike with wet paint used on wood or chemicals used in treated wood or PVC. This product is fully recyclable and is produced with the world's most recycled material–steel.
How Easy Is The Installation?
We designed the fence with easy assembly and installation in mind. Our posts are set further apart than other fences, but set deeper in the ground with wet concrete. Once posts are set, the rest is easy–insert grommets, slide in rails, drop in lock spacers, and put on post caps. There are no nails, screws, or fasteners.
The posts and rails were designed so that the fence can easily be installed at steep angles. The rails can be angled up or down, left or right by 22.5 degrees where they insert into the post.
